The first costume series is a definitive stamp series of Austria, published from 1934 to 1936 and was valid for postage until September 1938. Each stamp depicts a characteristic Austrian national costume from all federal states of the country in front of a landscape or landmark. The stamps were designed by Georg Jung and printed at the Austrian State Printing Works in sheets of 100 stamps.
