FACTS & FIGURES

The Brown Ribbon of Germany (Braune Band von Deutschland) was a horse race at the time of the Nazi Regime. The venue was the Riem Race Course (Galopprennbahn Riem) in Munich. The supporting program also included the ‘Night of the Amazons’ in the park of Nymphenburg Palace. The race for the "Brown Ribbon of Germany", a flat race over 2400 meters for three year olds and older, was part and the highlight of the "International Horseracing Week in Riem" (Internationalen Riemer Rennwochen) or "Brown Ribbon Week" (Braunes-Band-Wochen) that included more than twenty other flat races and steeplechase.
