In 1931 a regular service to Brazil had been established and Graf Zeppelin was to operate regular scheduled services during the summer season between Germany and South America. The airship at the time was moored at Recife, Pernambuco even though Dr. Eckener requested from a reluctant Brazilian Government to build a zeppelin hangar in Rio de Janeiro...
