Αναμνηστική έκδοση για τη Μάχη της Κρήτης. Το γραμματόσημο είναι συμπληρωματικό της σειράς «Νίκη» του 1947/48. Μετά τη «Νίκη» είχε προγραμματισθεί η έκδοση ενός επιπλέον γραμματοσήμου για να τιμηθεί η Μάχη της Κρήτης. Η εκτύπωση θα ήταν χαλκογραφική και θα πραγματοποιούνταν στο Λονδίνο όπως και τα υπόλοιπα γραμματόσημα της σειράς. ..
