On November 20, 1943, the Reichspost issued a stamp to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the Munich Beer Hall Putsch and honour those who died for the Nazi movement. Ten years before the NAZI Party rise to power in Germany, Hitler tried to seize power by force during the Beer Hall Putsch. On the evening of November 8, 1923, leaders of the Bavarian government were holding a rally at the Bürgerbräukeller, one of Munich's largest beer halls, before 3,000 spectators.
