FACTS & FIGURES
On January 26, 1943, the Reichspost issued a special stamp (Sonderstempel) for collectors to obtain special postmarks. With a simple ‘bare’ design, so as not to distract the attention from the postmark itself, the stamp bears a ‘3’ Numeral below an Eagle which was the Reich’s symbol. The stamp could be affixed on an envelope or card and get cancelled at the Post Office with any special postmark was used at the time.
