On July 27, 1943, the Reichspost issued a stamp to publicize the 10th Brown Ribbon Race held in Munich-Riem track. One of the annual horse races held in Riem every July from 1934 to 1944 was the “Brown Ribbon of Germany” event. The race track at Riem, just a few miles from Munich was one of the best and most popular racing venues in Germany.
