Bolivia's national carrier, Lloyd Aéreo Boliviano (LAB), second oldest airline in South America, was founded on September 15, 1925 by Germans. In 1928 LAB had produced special air mail stamps for domestic mail transport. The three stamps of the issue depict the LAB emblem and Cerro Rico (left) and mountain Illimani (right) in the background. For zeppelin use, the Bolivian Ministry of Communications authorized the overprint of the remains of this 1928 issue in black ink with a "Z 1930" and surcharge. The issue was surcharged on the 24.04.1930...
